Converting a Visual CE form to DroidDB
You may have an existing Visual CE form you want to bring into DroidDB. This is easy to do:
- Open the DroidDB development environment. Choose your application (or create a new one).
- Copy the .VCE file into the application folder.
- Press down and hold the CTRL key on your keyboard.
- While the CTRL key is still pressed, select FILE | OPEN from the menu.
- You will see a file selection dialog. Select the .VCE file in your application folder.
DroidDB will open the .VCE file and convert it to a DroidDB form. You can then select FILE | SAVE to save your converted form into your application.
Note: There is no need to create the underlying table of the form. DroidDB will create it based on the table definition stored in the form.
