DroidDB Tip of the Month

DroidDB® Tip for October 2017

Invoking the Menu Bar

DroidDB forms allow the end user to do things (insert records, position to the next record, etc.) by selecting items from the menu bar. Older devices had a button to invoke the menu bar. On newer devices, it may seem that there is no menu bar.

Those newer devices most probably have a menu bar, you'll just have to do some sleuthing to figure out how to invoke it. Google the make and model of the devie along with the keyword "menu". Usually there is a link explaining how to invoke the menu for that particular device.

Update - February 2020

Are you still having problems invoking the menu bar? On some newer versions of the Android operating systems the menu bar is no longer readily available. Contact us for assistance.

Top rated! I needed a solid database application development tool for mobile devices. I chose DroidDB for Android OS because it provided a way to get a strong product to market quickly. DroidDB is relational, gives me control over form layout, handles macros, and supports events. It works on all Android versions I have tried and is a great companion product to SYWARE’s VisualCE.
